Kitchen Extract Cleaning

Kitchen Extract Cleaning

Are you responsible for a Commercial Kitchen? If so can you answer the below questions?

1 - When was your extraction system last cleaned and certified?
2 - Have you seen evidence and certification of the clean?
3 - Is your system being inspected in line with the recommended intervals for the level of use of your kitchen?

If you answered  "No" or "Don't know" to any of them then there is a risk that your systems do not meet the legislative requirements and in the event of a fire your insurance may be invalidated. Just Good Hygiene are here to help ensure your systems comply with the BESA TR19 Best Practice Standard.
Why Should You Have Your Extraction System Cleaned?

Grease and fat deposits in commercial kitchens are a serious fire risk. They should be removed from your kitchen canopy, duct, fan unit and external vent on a regular basis, in line with your insurance requirements.
Our engineers will eliminate the risks by professionally removing debris build up and cleaning the entire system. Aside from the increased risk of fire, grease accumulation drastically reduces the efficiency of the system by shortening the life of the fan unit, slowing the rate of air flow, reducing the breathability of the duct.
The Fire Safety Order 2005 requires owners and managers to assume responsibility for their own compliance with the legislation. Companies and organisations must mitigate against these risks. Failure to do so will result in the prosecution of company or organisation and the responsible person/people in the event of a fire.
